😀'The way we used to shop' plaque unveiling ceremony. What can we say, except that it was a resounding success. Thanks to Ringsend & District Historical Society and the sponsorship of our local Capital Credit Union on Bath Avenue for making this event happen. We are honoured to have this plaque on our wall and so proud to have our doors still open. Special mention to Paul Brannock and Eoghan & Liam for the tunes, Colm's parents Frank & Irene and finally to all our neighbours, supporters and friends who attended. A great afternoon was had by all and the plaque is now there for all to see.

We’ll also hear a special poem by former Penrose St resident Joey Behan, now living in NYC but still connected to home. His poem about shopping in South Lotts is part of this year’s Poets in Bloom competition.

Join us as we celebrate the many small shops that once filled our streets, served our neighbours and formed the heart of our community.
