I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of my beloved father, Ted Kieran. To everyone who knew him, Ted was the true heart and soul of Tony Kieran Ltd. Following the loss of his own father, Tony, he stepped up alongside his mother, May, to take the reins at just 15 years old. Together they kept the business moving forward. For decades, Ted poured his life and integrity into the company, teaching me along the way that business is built on relationships, respect and hard work. Beyond the shop floor, Dad’s absolute greatest joy was football. He held proud lifelong links with Dundalk FC. Dad had the rare superpower of genuinely loving both Liverpool and Everton, although we always suspected Everton held his heart.
As remarkable as he was in business and the community, Dad was an even more extraordinary father and grandparent. His deep devotion to our family was the true anchor of his life. No matter how busy things got family always came first. While we grieve this immense loss, we celebrate a remarkable life beautifully lived. Dad’s legacy lives on in his family and his company.
I will continue to honour him by upholding the values he lived by every single day.
Rest in Peace Dad.
