❤️❤️❤️
This is just a musing - the photo hides the dark , lack of light and in the case of today the biblical rain !
A cold morning. And somewhere in the darkness, a lone Pauraic is doing something frankly mad but wonderful — watching hand-crafted loaves emerge from an oven that's been glowing since 4am.
4am.
While the rest of us were unconscious, drooling into a pillow and dreaming about absolutely nothing useful, Pauraic was already at work. Covered in flour. Preparing breads which will vanish pretty quickly each day.
And he is not alone. Every morning, before the world has had the decency to wake up, there's an entire shadow economy clanking, baking, loading, and driving — headlights cutting through the dark like a secret we never see.
We used to think those 4am car headlights were farmers. Turns out it's bakers, builders, airport hustlers, and people on the 06:30 flights from Dublin and Cork who somehow have their lives so aggressively together they've already cleared security, entered a field , organised a yard , before I've found my phone.
These people get up in the middle of the night. Every. Single. Day.
