🤍 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗠𝗘… 🤍

Well, that's it… after four and a half years of Devour, it's officially time for me to hand over the reins. 🥹🤍

The contracts are signed👏 Before I sign out of these pages for the last time, I just wanted to say a proper 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

To everyone who has supported Devour over the years, whether you were in every day for your coffee or just popped in now and again, thank you. Every visit, kind word and bit of encouragement has meant more than you know.

To my 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄, thank you for the hard work, loyalty, laughs and for putting up with all the madness along the way. I couldn't have done it without you. ❤️

And a very special thank you to Paddy 𝗮𝘁 The Hatter Coffee Co. , who's been with me since day one. You've been so much more than a coffee supplier, Paddy, and I'll always appreciate everything you've done for me and Devour. I'm especially delighted that 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿'𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. ☕🤍

To the 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, thank you for seeing something worth continuing in this wee café. It means so much knowing that something I've put so much into is getting another chapter. I genuinely wish you all the very best, and I hope everyone gets behind you the way they've always got behind me.

It's a strange feeling saying goodbye to something that's been such a big part of my life, but I'm leaving knowing it's in good hands.

And I have to say, 𝗜'𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 — sitting with my coffee, watching it all unfold and cheering you on from the other side of the counter! 😂☕🤍

🤍 𝗔 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗢𝗨𝗥… 🤍

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 7 days since we closed the doors at Devour as we knew it.

The love we’ve received since has honestly meant the world. Every message, comment, card, gift and kind word has reminded us just how much this little place meant to so many people — 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 🥹🤍

But when we said it was the end of 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁, we chose those words carefully… 👀

While our chapter has come to an end, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗳𝗲́ 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁.

We’re so happy to know that something we poured four and a half years of our lives into isn’t disappearing. Instead, it’s being handed over to 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, with fresh ideas and a new chapter of their own to write. 🤍☕

We’ll leave the introductions and exciting plans for now …

But you 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. 👀🤍

Well… this one feels a little surreal to write.
This weekend will be our very last weekend trading at Devour as we know it, with Wednesday 24th September officially being our final day.

After four and a half years of coffees, food, chats, laughs and plenty of madness, it’s nearly time to close the doors on this chapter of Devour. 🤍

We’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible over our final few days — for your usual coffee, a sweet treat or sandwich, or simply to pop in and say hello. ☕🥪

As we begin winding things down, there may be a few small menu changes or adjustments along the way, depending on stock and availability — so please bear with us as we make our way through the final few days.

If you have any Devour gift vouchers, please make sure to use them before Wednesday.

Sometimes in life you realise you’re spinning just a few too many plates.

Between work, business, family and everything else life throws into the mix, we’ve reached a point where 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲.

But before making any final decisions, we thought we’d put the feelers out… 👀

𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗳𝗲́ 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵?

Devour is up, running and ready to go, with an established customer base, a fully equipped premises and, most importantly, 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.
We’ve just come through 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, and there is so much about this little business that works. For us, this isn’t about a lack of love for Devour — far from it. It’s simply about recognising that we can’t keep spinning every plate forever and that perhaps it’s time to hand this one over to someone with the time, energy and enthusiasm to take it forward.

For the right person, this could be a fantastic opportunity to walk into an established café, put their own stamp on it and make it their own — without the huge task of starting completely from scratch.

At this stage, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 to see what interest may be there, so we ask that only genuinely interested parties get in touch.

🚨 Closed Today

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected water outage and the complete lack of prior notification, we have no choice but to close today.

As a business that relies on running water, this leaves us unable to operate and gives us no opportunity to plan ahead for our customers or staff.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.
