This job at the cleaning station takes time but is so worth it to see the beautiful colours of the radient radish 🤩🤩

These beauts taste as good as they look, and are very healthy too.

Busy times on the farm this week with watering, sowing, planting, weeding and harvesting. A bit of patience is needed as it is all a bit slower with the cooler than usual weather but do not fret, all will ripen in time 💜

Great to get two rows of French beans sown in the tunnel! We have also sown two beds of French beans and Broad beans on the acre to replace the sugar snap peas that were devoured by our arch enemies-the cutworms!

Vincent is popping the seeds in beside the drip irrigation to make sure those little beans get the water they need. Looking forward to seeing them grow!

Don’t forget to come by the stall from Thursday to Sunday from 9am! Loads of lovely, local and chemical-free vegetables.

Hello all!
A glimpse into tunnel 2. Fresh coriander (one of our favs) and crisp lettuce (s’il vous plaît) on the outer beds with tomatoes growing nicely on the inner beds. Coriander and lettuce on the stall from this week.

Pop by the stall this Thursday to Sunday from 9am for delicious chemical-free, local and fresh vegetables.

Planting beetroot in the sunshine ☀️

The direct sowing and planting season is in full swing at Gort na Nain. Out on the acre - we’ve planted the beets. Today, the carrots and parsnip were sown (ahead of the rain tomorrow 😍 so fingers crossed no need to water). In the tunnels - basil and lettuce has been planted. Beds are being prepped and more seeding is on the go too. Loving the sunshine!

Our farm stall is open tomorrow (Thursday) until Sunday from 9am. Thank you!

What a day of tomato planting! Many different varieties to delight this summer. Just need the patience now to wait. Thank you Lucy for your help today.

EXCITING NEWS! We have some tomato plants for sale on the stall from tomorrow. Come and get em and grow your own. Variety will be on the pot.

While we patiently (hmmm yeah!) wait for those sunny tomato days, the Gort na Nain vegetable stall is open at P17D516 from Thursday to Sunday from 9am. Our list:

The planting season is upon us! This week, we planted spring onions, lettuce and coriander, and sowed radish and mixed leaves in the tunnels… and we planted onions, echalions, kale and broccoli outside in the acre before the rain yesterday. We welcome the rain (every few days- don’t get us wrong!!) as we don’t have to worry about watering, so more planting to come tomorrow and Monday before the rain next week! Thanks Grace and Lucy for your help. 💪

The stall is open today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) from 9am. Special veg today is delicious radish. We also have asparagus which is a real hit. Thanks for the support! Spread the word 💜
