You could be forgiven for thinking you have stepped back in time and - and into the local community - when visiting 3rd generation grocer Michael Cosgrove's delightful traditional shop, which has been trading since 1898 and not only sells all manner of good things but also offers a level of personal service that is becoming increasingly rare, even in Ireland. It's a place where regular customers a

re known by name, and you'll find more real choice than in any of the big multiples - Georgina Campbell. Described as ' a storybook place' Michael Cosgrove senior originally opened the business as a restaurant/shop. His son Kevin became the face of the shop and expanded the range of food available (inlcuding being the first man in Sligo to sell ice-cream!). Michael, Kevin's son now runs the shop, catering for a wide range of special diets and selling every type of food product you can think of from freshly cooked meats, salads, dried fruits, nuts, spices, many cheeses, freshly ground coffee, olive oils, pasta,cereals and pulses.

We are delighted to have another homegrown Irish product on our shelves. Beautiful products by made with authentic Peruvian ginger. These products are not only delicious in/ on a range of dishes (salad dressings, pancakes, sauces, desserts) and of course cocktails and homemade ginger beer (!), but also have a range of health benefits - bringing a suite of nutritional value 🫚
