Who are we?

Taste of Nature is devoted to a work of love, and values the gifts of our mother Earth.

We are a social enterprise that emerged from an organic farming community in the town of Auroville, Tamil Nadu. The farm is an ongoing experiment on human unity and fraternity; and the non profit enterprise is being built and supported mostly by volunteers sensitive to the issues of inorganic food and nature conservation.

Our venture organically grew from the necessity to save and preserve large amounts of fresh fruit that go waste in Auroville and its bio-region. Preserving them through the process of dehydration helps to store and share this abundance that is provided by nature. This project keeps the wish for a change in food education and habits alive. Over the years, we have been forced to consume what we know is not good for our body, and its well-being. At Taste of Nature, we create a choice of food that is naturally recognized as worthy by our higher consciousness.

Raw fruits in general are a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients. The process of dehydration allows to retain and preserve these vitamins, minerals, and nutrients of the raw fruits without the need for additives or preservatives - and can be stored for as long as six months.
