Did you know a single worker bee can visit up to 100 flowers in one foraging trip, carrying 35% of her body weight in pollen? When she finds a good spot, she performs a “waggle dance” to communicate its location to her hive mates.
Bees are also smart! On hot days, you might see them "bearding" outside the hive to cool down, and during cold spells, they form a cozy ball around their queen to keep her warm. Each colony has a unique scent to identify friends or foes, and they are legendary for their cleanliness, continuously cleaning their hive.
