I strongly condemn the arrest of Honorable MLA Doda (52). In a democratic setup, every elected representative deserves respect, for our vote is our true power.
At the same time, I also condemn the use of abusive language by the Honorable MLA. Moral ethics and dignity must always guide our words and actions, especially from those in public office.
However, this incident reflects a serious concern: the defeat of democracy at the hands of bureaucracy. It is deeply unfortunate that the value of the people’s vote appears to be undermined.
Very sad—when the vote, the voice of the people, loses its value.
