Thank you all patrons for making it yet another Successful DFO Meetup. It amazes us every time the wealth of knowledge our expert speaker shares with the forum, and every host farm is a true GEM in Denkanikottai.💐

Would like to thank🙏🏼 the hosts Vijay Venugopal ji, ⁠Anil Kumar ji and Shyam Amarnath ji for supporting us to host this event at their Mother Earth Farm. The farm is so well organized and an encyclopedia of trees. Their Satvik Philosophy is well reflected in their farm and farming practices. Big thank you for sharing your invaluable experience and, wealth of knowledge you have gathered over the years.

Thanks to Varun and Dinakaran for sharing your farming hobby and explaining to the crowd about your farm and about Green Manuring. I am sure the attendees would have got a good idea on the green manuring process and how to get started now...from why to where to how...

Thanks to Archanan ji 🙏🏼for sharing his novel and brilliant technique of Rapid Tree Creation, I am so eager to try it and believe the results at my farm (Let me know if anyone wants to join me, we can create a nursery - 10 in each native species). A simple man but humble enough to acknowledge all the knowledge has been acquired from his gurus. Like one of our colleagues mentioned, the technique is truly a "Low Cost but a High Reward" method.

Thanks to All Stall Owners for bringing your precious, yummy and nutritious farm produce and sharing it with us. Sapota from Mother Earth Farms stole the show!!!, a must try for DFO members. It amazes how best produce can be grown following Organic and Natural Farming practises.

Thanks to the event organizers Surabhi, Madhuri(from overseas), Karthik (literally from sea), Rajasekaran Janakiraman for making it yet another star event. Proud to be part of this team. Special thanks to Rajasekaran Janakiraman for taking extra effort for arranging and coordinating with our expert speaker Archanan ji. Special thanks to Karthik for organizing the mixed green manure seeds and making it available to us.

Thanks to Satish Reddy for Project Bamboo, it involves a lot of coordination and getting approvals from various dept for getting bamboos for us. Thanks to Mukudan ji @ AUMM Foundation for giving us the sarees required for the workshop. It really amazes me how many people happily come forward to support us for these events.

Wow...perhaps one of our best👌🏼 DFO meetups we've ever had. Thanks to all Patrons for the support, guidance, and feedback that helped us bring it to this level !!!

Thanks to our wonderful hosts Jose uncle, Sara aunty and their entire family for sharing their farm space for hosting this event and supporting us all throughout...the venue, "Cherry Field", is simply a paradise which we envy and all aspire to build ours one day...."a mini Kerala", some might call it. Jose uncle's knowledge on Agriculture and Pepper cultivation is unmatched...I personally call him a Living Encyclopedia on Agriculture, always ready to share his invaluable experience, knowledge, and also helps us connect to his elite circle to take our ideas and business forward and make it successful. We are all blessed to have a legend like Jose uncle in our circle. Thanks Jose Uncle🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

We are super excited to have Mrs.Girija, an Award-Winning Women Agripreneur, as a speaker for this special edition of the DFO(Denkanikottai Farm Owners) Meetup. This meetup will be held on February 8 at beautiful Sanjana Farm, Irudukottai.

Mrs.Girija also leads a Traditional Organic Women FPO, for preserving traditional rice variety and cultivating using natural and organic methods with support from several women farmers at grassroots level - “Feminine Roots”. Mrs.Girija will share her journey of challenges and success.

Also excited to share updates on our Collectives initiative on ChemicalFree Vegetable Cultivation and Selling trials. How the platform is successfully sourcing from our DFO Members and supplying to Bangalore Market and how customers are thrilled and enjoying our fresh farm produces.

Happy New Year 2024! 🎊

We are happy to announce our 17th Edition of DFO Meetup and this time we are covering a very interesting and special topic - SOIL

Soil is the foundation of agriculture. It is one of the very fundamental elements of our ecosystem which shapes the flora, fauna, communities and even civilisations. So if you are thinking about healthy food, healthy me, healthy family, healthy planet... it all starts with healthy soil. You would have recently noticed several high profile international campaigns on Soil, again emphasising its very importance.

We have none other than *Soil Vasu*, a well renowned expert in this space to talk about it and enlighten us from the very basics ...to... importance of microbes ...to... organic carbon content ...to... help educate us on saving and building good soil. It will be a super interactive session, we have asked our farmer friends to bring soil samples from their farms for Mr.Vasu to examine and give inputs at the event site.

Since this meetup is happening around Pongal Sankranthi season we have a special line up of celebrations and traditional games for big and small, so get a spare attire if you want to immerse yourselves...

We also have fresh farmers market for locally sourced chemical free fruits, vegetables, dairy products and plethora of other farm produces, grown sustainably.

RaamaraM is an organic certified farm in Manchi Malai literally surrounded by Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary. The drive is super scenic through the lush greenery so start early and enjoy your drive reaching the farm. RaamaraM has an award wining homestead and a must visit if you want to understand building an ecofriendly home. A lot of native vegetation restoration works is going on and commercial rosemary cultivation is also happening at the farm.

On behalf of DFO Farmers Market group, today we handed over 50 food support kits, each kit valued at Rs.500/-, for the Chennai Flood Relief.

We handed over the packed boxes to Denkanikottai Tahsildhar at Denkanikottai Taluk Office, Denkanikottai. Also seen in photo is DT and RI. Tahsildhar asked to convey thanks and appreciated the farmers group's effort for the cause.
