Native Organica’s red lentils are organic, chemical-free, pesticide-free unblended lentils.
You can enjoy this dip with veggies, short naan, pita chips and even nachos. In fact you can simply sneak out a spoonful straight from the fridge.
Follow the steps below to make this simple Lentil Dip!
Ingredients
½ cup Red Lentil
5-6 Tomatoes
6-7 Garlic cloves
2 tbsp Olive oil
Salt (as per taste)
1 tsp cumin powder
Procedure:
Rinse the red lentil with cold water and drain. Combine the lentils and 1 tsp salt in a saucepan or pressure cooker. Add enough water to cover by 4 inches and cook on medium flame. Reduce the heat until the lentils are tender and falling apart.
Take a baking tray and add chopped tomatoes, garlic cloves, a dash of olive oil, salt and cumin powder to taste.
Now simply bake it for 10-15 minutes at 180°C or until they are soft.
Add your softened tomatoes and garlic to a blender with the boiled lentils.
Blend it to the level of consistency you love and transfer the dip to a bowl.
Drizzle some olive oil on top for a beautiful presentation, and garnish with coriander and pumpkin seeds.
