Day 2: In the Organic fertilizer and Pesticide series.
Panchgavya (Organic Fertilizer)
Panchgavya, which is derived from a mixture of cow dung, urine, milk, curd, and ghee, is pronounced Panch+gavya. It was utilized in the past to boost plant resistance to disease and agricultural fertility. An excellent organic fertilizer that boosts immunity and aids in plant growth and development is panchgavya.
Benefits of Panchagavya:-
Improvement in soil fertility.
To maintain air and moisture in the soil.
Increase in the number of microorganisms in the soil.
To reduce the impact of diseases and pests on the crop.
Ingredients required to make Panchgavya and its quantity:-
Milk 2-liter cow
Cow curd 2 liters
Cow urine 3 liters
Cow ghee – half kilo
5 kg fresh cow dung
Sugarcane juice 3 liters (or 500 grams of jaggery in 3 liters of water)
coconut water 3 liters
Ripe bananas 12
Benefits Of Panchgavya:-
Increases the fruit and vegetable shelf life as well as that of other agricultural products. Larger leaves and a dense canopy are produced by panchgavya. improves both the yield and the quality of the product, with yields rising by 20 to 25 percent in most cases (doubling in the case of cucumbers, for example). It intensifies the fruits' sweetness and fragrance. prepares the crop ahead of time. Two weeks ahead of schedule, the crop can be harvested. It can thrive even during droughts because it lowers the water requirement by 25 to 30 percent. Its roots pe*****te deeply into the ground and are incredibly big and dense. Soil pe*******on is one way to treat them. Should you DIY the preparation, your farming costs will also be decreased in contrast to synthetic fertilizers. When it comes to commercial farming, its application is far more advantageous than applying chemicals and fertilizers as directed. It also aids in expanding the area used for organic farming.
