Life around the farm lately!

What stayed with us most from the Kisan Swaraj Sammelan was a deep sense of shared purpose and mutual support – a quiet reassurance that this path is being walked by many.

Over the two days, we listened to farmers and practitioners from across the country share their experiences – the challenges they face, the experiments they are trying, and the questions they continue to grapple with in their own landscapes.

The conversations moved across many themes: the changing nature of labour in agriculture, debates around herbicide tolerant crops and non-chemical w**d control, ways of addressing farmer‐wildlife conflict, the importance of seed sovereignty, and the ongoing effort to build fair and viable markets for organic farmers.

What stood out just as much was the most was not just the issues themselves, but the spirit in which they were discussed – people listening, questioning, and learning from one another.

Experiences like this also strengthen our belief in the importance of the community space we are slowly building at Aahaara Vanam – a place where people can gather, ask questions, exchange knowledge and wisdom, and reconnect with food, farming, the land and its people.

In many ways, the future of our food systems depends on what people begin to care about and support today.

Efforts to rebuild healthy soils, reconnect people with their food, and create spaces for learning may seem small on their own. But across many places and communities, these small efforts quietly begin to shape a different direction.

And gatherings like this remind us that the world we hope for – one with healthier food, living soils, and communities that care for the land – is still possible.

Most importantly, they remind us that this journey is not one we walk alone.

దీని టేస్ట్ ఏ వేరబ్బ !!
చిన్నపుడు తిన్నాము, మళ్ళీ ఇపుడు మా చేతిలోకి వచ్చాయి.
పోయిన వాన కాలం సమయం లో ఒక ఫ్రెండ్ 4 విత్తనాలు ఇచ్చారు !
ఇప్పుడు వీటిని వందల విత్తనాలు చేసి, కొంత పొలం లో వచ్చే సీజన్ పంట వేస్తాం ! బొంగు కర్రలు వేసి పంట పెడితే ఎంత చక్కగా ఉంటుందో చూడటానికి !
