Farming is about more than just the harvest; it’s about the health of the system. In this cluster of Camarosas, the intricate venation and fuzzy trichomes on the leaves tell a story of strong soil health and a plant that is perfectly supported by its environment.
It takes a lot of “behind-the-scenes” work in the soil to get a berry this perfect. We wouldn’t have it any other way. 🧑‍🌾🍓

Ever wondered what a Camarosa strawberry looks like before it turns red? 🍓✨

This is the receptacle of the flower. Those tiny green bumps aren’t actually seeds—they are called achenes, and each one is technically an individual fruit! As the receptacle swells and softens, it will transform into the deep, firm, and flavorful Camarosa berry we all love.
The Camarosa variety is a Southern California classic, prized for its large size and excellent shelf life. These little guys have a long way to go, but the journey to harvest has officially begun.

You can actually see the plant’s health in the bold leaf venation and those fine hairs—it’s proof that our soil is giving these berries exactly what they need. 🌱
