Honoured to be featured in today’s Hindustan newspaper wherein we discussed the challenges and opportunities for agri startups in Bihar. While Bihar holds immense potential in agriculture and allied sectors, beekeeping entrepreneurs continue to face two critical bottlenecks: ⬇️
🐝 Lack of scientific training and capacity building for beekeepers, planned scientific colony management, pollination services, post harvest management and quality honey production and other bee products.
🍯 Weak post harvest infrastructure resulting in challenges related to honey processing, quality testing, value addition, branding thus challenge in getting a fair market price. ✅
For Bihar to emerge as a champion leader in sustainable beekeeping and rural entrepreneurship, investments must go beyond production and focus on skill development, quality assurance, value addition and a strong market ecosystem. 🤝
