Durian Fest at Malabar Farmers Company, inaugurated by Thodupuzha MLA and Chief Whip of Kerala Shri.Apu John Joseph.

‘പഴവർഗ്ഗങ്ങളുടെ റാണി’ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന മാങ്കോസ്റ്റിൻ പഴത്തിന്റെ വിളവെടുപ്പ് ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിൽ ആരംഭിച്ചു. തൊടുപുഴ തേനങ്കുന്നിലുള്ള മലബാർ ഫാർമേഴ്സ് പ്രൊഡ്യൂസർ കമ്പനിയുടെ അഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന അവക്കാഡോ ഫെസ്റ്റിൽ ഇന്നുമുതൽ മാങ്കോസ്റ്റിൻ പഴങ്ങൾ ലഭ്യമാണ്. മുൻ ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ടോമി കാവാലം, കർഷകനും മുൻ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് അസ്സോസിയേഷൻ പ്രസിഡന്റുമായ റ്റി.സി മാത്യുവിൽ നിന്നും മാങ്കോസ്റ്റിൻ പഴങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് മലബാർ ഫുഡ്സിൽ മാങ്കോസ്റ്റിൻ വിപണിക്ക് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചു.
ഇടുക്കിയിലെ കർഷകർ ഫ്രൂട്ട്സ് കൃഷിയിലേക്ക് വലിയതോതിൽ മാറുന്നതിനെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണ് മലബാർ ഫുഡ്സിൽ വിപണന കേന്ദ്രം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. കർഷകരിൽ നിന്ന് നേരിട്ട് അവക്കാഡോ, മാങ്കോസ്റ്റിൻ തുടങ്ങിയ പഴങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങുന്നതാണ്. പഴവർഗ്ഗങ്ങളുടെ ഉപയോഗം ഗണ്യമായി വർദ്ധിച്ചത് നമ്മുടെ നാടിന്റെ വികസനത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷണമാണ് എന്ന് ചടങ്ങിൽ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച ഫ്രൂട്ട്സ്‌വാലി ചെയർമാൻ അഡ്വക്കേറ്റ് ബിജു പറയുന്നിലം പറഞ്ഞു. അവക്കാഡോ, മാങ്കോസ്റ്റിൻ തുടങ്ങിയ മുന്തിയ ഇനം പഴങ്ങൾ വിദേശത്തേക്ക് കയറ്റി അയക്കാതെ നമ്മൾ കഴിക്കുന്ന ശൈലി ഉണ്ടാവണമെന്ന് മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തിയ കാഡ്സ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആന്റണി കണ്ടിരിക്കൽ പറഞ്ഞു. ചടങ്ങിൽ എം.സി. മാത്യു, ഡോ. ജോസുകുട്ടി ഒഴുകയിൽ, ജോസ് നീരോലിക്കൽ, ജെറിൻ കാരിശ്ശേരിൽ, ചിന്തു ജോസ് തുടങ്ങിയവർ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

Labour Day celebrations at Malabar Farmers Company:

The event was presided over by Fruitsvalley Chairman Adv. Biju Parayannilam, in the presence of Dr. Marilyn Alias, President of Lions Club Thodupuzha, Shri.Jais Vattapilly, Secretary, Idukki District Press Club and Shri. M. N. Babu, President of the Kerala Hotel Operators Association.

Shri.Jais Vattapilly inaugurated the Labour Day celebration at Malabar Foods, Thenamkunnu, by giving avocado shake and avocados to auto drivers. Dr. Maryljn Alias honoured the best employees of the month and Shri M.N Babu inaugurated the new Malabar Juice Hub.
