Meadow Honey (Lugovoi)
Meadow honey refers to multi-flower kind of honey. Honey name depends on a variety of flowers, which give pollen and nectar, collected by bees. Sometimes it is called floral or motley grass. Motley grass – a group of plants, which grow mainly in meadows and pastures. We bring our hives in the mountains in the blooming period of special types of herbs. In the footplants that have unique healing properties: Sainfoin, winter cress, melilot, thyme, marjoran, milk thistle, salvia, Lucerne, bedstraw. All of those species are medicinal plants by themselves. Many centuries, people inhabited the vast expanses of Siberia, used those herbs for the treatment of diseases. Our Meadow honey absorbed all the power of herbs. It is not only delicious treat, but also a health care agent. Like any of our other honey collected in clean conditions. Meadow honey has atonic effect. It has many medicinal properties, like as anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and analgesic effect. Its properties are widely used in the treatment of liver diseases and gastritis, gynecology, preventing colds. Thyme has astringent, diaphoretic and also antiputrefactive action. Sainfoin is used to treat disorders of the functioning of the go**ds (The menstrual cycle in women, impotence in men). It is prescribed by Russian doctors for the treatment of diabetes. Sainfoin in honey reduces the level of cholesterol in blood, increases hemoglobin. Winter cress helps in asthenic syndrome (chronic fatigue), hypovitaminosis C, general weakness, problems with nervous system. The special value of milk thistle is silymarin- a substance that is able to strengthen the cell walls, thus increasing their protective properties. Salvia is used to treat gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys, and various viral infections. Lucerne is famous for prevention of many diseases: anemia, cancer, malnutrition for bones. Having pollen of Lucerne our honey is especially useful for pregnant women and nursing mothers, as calcareous substances included in its composition, help to shape the child’s bones, and restore the balance of calcium in mom’s body. The usefulness of meadow honey depends on nectar and pollen of which herb is most prevalent in honey.
