I had the honour of attending the commemoration of the late Chief Ngeleyo Wero Tomole, a distinguished and visionary leader whose role during the Kolowa Massacre remains profoundly significant in our collective history.

At a moment of grave danger, Chief Ngeleyo demonstrated exceptional strategic foresight and decisive leadership. With a clear grasp of the unfolding threat, he coordinated a timely and deliberate response that shielded the community from further harm—an intervention that not only safeguarded countless lives but also effectively brought the violence to a halt.

His legacy stands as a defining example of courage, presence of mind and an unwavering commitment to the protection and dignity of his people.

The commemoration ceremony was deeply moving, bringing together leaders, family members and the wider community to honour his life and reflect on the enduring lessons of our history.

In light of the ongoing efforts by leaders to pursue justice, including legal action seeking accountability for the atrocities committed during that period, I reiterate the call upon the British Government to expedite the process of compensation for affected families as part of a broader commitment to justice and historical redress.

It is also notable that Hon. Tuwit, MCA, is among the grandsons of the late Chief, carrying forward a legacy of leadership and service.

As we remember our heroes, may we remain steadfast in preserving our heritage while advancing unity, justice and sustainable development for our people.

I joined the faithful of Dini ya Mafuta Pole Africa in commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Kolowa Massacre. My presence was in honor of the over 100 Pokot who lost their lives, including the revered Lucas Pkech, who became martyrs for their faith and dignity.
This solemn remembrance is a powerful call for us to continue pursuing justice, truth, and reconciliation, ensuring that their sacrifice is never forgotten. Kolowa remains a beacon of resilience and remembrance for all of us.

Today, I joined the family, friends and the wider community at Radat in Emining Ward for the Koito engagement ceremony of Thimax and Phyllis — a deeply rooted cultural milestone that continues to reflect the richness of our heritage and the strength of our social fabric.

Such occasions are more than ceremonies; they are a reaffirmation of the values of unity, responsibility and continuity of family as the foundation of our society. I am encouraged to see our traditions being preserved and celebrated with dignity and pride.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Thimax and Phyllis as they embark on this important journey of commitment and partnership. May your union be anchored on mutual respect, understanding and enduring love.

As a community, we must continue to uphold and support institutions of family, for they remain the cornerstone of stability and development. I wish the couple a blessed and prosperous future together.

Today marked a powerful and impactful engagement as I joined the Skyline SACCO fraternity alongside fellow alumni of Kabimoi High School in a moment defined by leadership, legacy, and community commitment.

We came together to honor the distinguished service of Mr. William Boruet during his send-off ceremony. His 35-year tenure as Chairman reflects rare dedication, integrity, and resilience. Through his visionary leadership, Skyline SACCO rose from a modest capital base of Ksh 184,000 in 1989 to a formidable asset portfolio exceeding Ksh 4 billion—an extraordinary achievement that has empowered farmers, strengthened enterprises, and driven a vibrant local economy.
I commended Mr. Boruet for his exemplary stewardship and for building an institution that continues to transform lives and inspire progress across the region.

In the same spirit of service, I stood with fellow alumni of Kabimoi High School as we collectively presented our support—demonstrating unity of purpose and a shared responsibility to uplift education and invest in future generations.

This was a day that truly reflected the power of leadership, the strength of community, and the enduring impact of purposeful service.

As member of Baringo County I join the rest of the nation in appreciating the milestone achieved today with the launch of the nuclear power project,
This marks a significant step towards Kenya’s goal of generating 10,000MW of energy.
Baringo is also making steady progress through the geothermal power project in Tiaty, which is expected to generate up to 3000MW by 2027. The availability of affordable energy will promote the growth of industries in the county and further strengthen the Special Economic Zone project to be launched soon
I fully support this ambitious flagship project, which will greatly contribute to the country’s journey to Singapore
