Dear Rongo University Students,( Everyone )
I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of a fellow comrade, Abel alias Kiddo a 3rd year student at school of INFCOMS, who was stabbed by a fellow student after a misunderstanding that occurred when they were both drunk. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and I pray for their strength and comfort during this difficult time.
I urge us all to be more vigilant on our associates and our daily activities, as this incident has shown that alcohol abuse can lead to violence and fatal consequences. I therefore advise us to:
✅Avoid excessive drinking and binge drinking, as they can impair your judgment, lower your inhibitions, and increase your aggression.
✅Choose your friends wisely, and avoid associating with people who are involved in criminal activities, drug abuse, or other risky behaviors.
✅Report any suspicious or threatening behavior to the university authorities or the police, and do not try to handle it on your own.
✅Seek help from the university counselors, peer educators, or other support services if you are facing any personal, academic, or mental health challenges.
I value your safety and well-being, and I hope that you will take these precautions seriously. I also encourage us to support each other and foster a culture of peace and harmony among our university community.
