We, the Lake Victoria Aquaculture (LVA) Association, successfully pushed for the formation of a task force to review the contentious Fisheries Management and Development (Aquaculture) Regulations, 2024. Triggered by LVA’s landmark petition, this step addresses burdensome fees and levies that threatened Kenya’s aquaculture sector. The task force, including LVA, national and county representatives, aims to recommend inclusive, sustainable reforms.
