Rift Valley Fever (RVF) is a viral disease that affects livestock and can also infect humans. Heavy rains and flooding can increase mosquito populations, creating favourable conditions for the spread of the disease.

🐄 What to watch out for:
• Sudden deaths
• Fever and weakness
• Loss of appetite
• Abortions

🚨 If you notice unusual deaths or abortions in your livestock, report them immediately to a veterinary professional.

Never handle sick or dead animals without appropriate protective measures, and avoid slaughtering animals that are sick or have died unexpectedly.
