Dear Entrepreneurs.
In the book of 1 Corinthians section 13, sub-section 11, Paul said something very striking that I think entrepreneurs should cogitate about.
He said and I quote:
"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
You see, when it was just me doing my one-man show, there was a way I used to think.
I didn't realize it back then, but with the benefit of hindsight, now I know.
Today, I run a 4-man company
And frankly, this has completely altered my thinking pattern.
I could literally feel the alterations all over my body.
The way I used to think back then has been completely dwarfed by the new order.
My mental bandwidth has been stretched.
My skillset has been deepened and enlarged.
My study of science and practice of humans has grown complex.
My capacity to take in hard punches has been upscaled.
I am now a shadow of my former self.
By end of this year, I intend to grow my workforce to at least 20.
Certainly, providing leadership at that level is going to be different from what it is now.
But just imagine when that number hits 100 then 500 then 1000 and then 5000.
Holy Moly!
See, there is a fundamental aspect of you that shifts when you start hiring talents and keeping them.
If you are still a one man show, no disrespect but you probably wouldn't understand this.
See, responsibility will school you.
It will humble all your gra gra.
If you are still a one man entrepreneur, no problem.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
But if you start hiring, be ready to learn another version of entrepreneurship that your current version will never teach you.
By the way, this cycle doesn't end oh.
It's unabated at every echelon
