I extend my condolences to her family, relatives, and the Somali nation on the shocking death of Member of Parliament Suuri Diiriye Carab, who passed away this evening in Mogadishu.
MP Suuri Carab was a woman of excellent character and humanity, known for her honesty and patriotism. She was one of the pillars of the Somali Parliament, and for the past quarter-century, she worked diligently for the advancement of statehood and the rebuilding of the country.
MP Suuri Carab played a significant role in the establishment of the Third Republic of Somalia, having been among the MPs elected at the Arta Conference. She participated in the conferences and efforts aimed at nation-building and reconciliation among the Somali community.
I pray to Allah to have mercy on the deceased Suuri Carab, grant her Jannatul Firdows (the highest level of paradise), expand her grave, and bestow upon all of us patience and faith.
