Snaps of Madaraka Eco Fashion Festival:
This is a Festival where we experienced watervlevel rise from Lake Victoria better known as Naam Lolwe with the intense weather condition, where it is currently raining so heavily, rendering many communities homeless and forcing businesses to shut down dye to flooding.
The Festival continued despite the water filling up the stage area and fans area giving them no option but to stand aside the stage and most of them having to remove there shoes to move across.
This scenario really showed that we do not have time, grassroot communities should aided and funded for the loss and damage they experience since we are always the first ones to experience the adverse effects of climate change, and the ones charged with the responsibility to deal with the issue.
A big thankyou to and Madaraka Festival for initiating such a great course
Let us rise and play our part my fellow beings...
