"The Legend of Tea"
In 2737 BC, Emperor Shennong, a Chinese emperor and herbalist, was boiling water under the shade of a tree. According to legend, leaves from the nearby Camellia sinensis tree fell into the water, creating a refreshing and energizing drink.
And so, tea was born!
Emperor Shennong was delighted by the flavor and aroma of the accidental brew and recognized its potential health benefits. From that moment on, tea became an integral part of Chinese culture and tradition.
Today, tea is enjoyed worldwide in countless flavors and varieties, but its roots can be traced back to this serendipitous moment in history.
