Established in 2014, MAVO empowers small-holder farmers to boost avocado yield and quality while forging connections with both local and global buyers, streamlining production, and fostering partnerships. Our members span five key regions: Shan, Kachin, Chin, Naga, and Pyin Oo Lwin, offering fresh avocados, avocado oil, processed avocado products, and farm management services.

Thanks to the invaluable support from the Arise+ Programme funded by the European Union and carried out by International Trade Centre, we are proud to inform you that we have a brand new, engaging informational video. Discover the prime advantages of Myanmar as an avocado-growing region. With its favorable climate, ample rainfall, and high-altitude plantations at 3,000 feet above sea level, Myanmar produces delicious, high-quality avocados. The rich soil further enhances the crop's quality. In Myanmar, diverse ethnic groups such as the PAO, Shan, Danu, Taungyoe, Kachin, Naga, and Chin have cultivated the land for generations. Many farmers and field workers are women, championing women's empowerment.

MAVO supports farmers by enhancing avocado yield and quality, establishing market connections with domestic and international buyers, consolidating production, and managing partnerships. Our efforts have led to 36 members achieving GLOBALG.A.P. certification for 1,200 MT of avocados across 500 acres. With 1,200 individual and 14 corporate members, MAVO represents a robust network of producers, farmers, processors, brokers, and exporters.
