Job Description
The cheesemaker assistant will ensure the smooth running of the cheese manufacturing by assisting the cheesemakers in their daily tasks. The chosen candidate for this position will be responsible for supporting in the process of making cheese by helping in the filling of the cheeselets, to getting the cheese into its final package. The Assistant will also be in charge of the cleaning of the general workplace, pasteurizer, and cheese containers. As the applicant will require to work in a team, he must have a can-do attitude, good communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the cheesemakers in their daily task
• Helping in the filling of cheeselets
• Assist in the packaging of the cheeselet
• Clean the general workplace, pasteuriser, and cheese containers
• Perform any other necessary duties as instructed by superiors
Work Experience and Education
• The applicant would not require any specific experience, but it would be considered an asset if he had experience in a similar job position
• The applicant would require to be in possession of a Food Handling Course B
Key Competencies:
• Have a good command of spoken English and preferably Maltese
• Be flexible and reliable
• Have good collaboration skills
