Meet Karmelitan. 🤍
Made from local Maltese sheep's milk and matured for six weeks, Karmelitan is a semi-soft cheese with a beautiful white bloomy rind and little eyes running through its paste.

Its flavour?
Buttery, pleasant and easy-going.
The kind of cheese you can bring to the table without overthinking it — and somehow, it disappears first.

And the rind? It's edible too, naturally matured without chemical preservatives.

If you haven't met Benedittin here is an intro to one of our favourites.

Benedittin is a soft artisan cheese made from pasteurised milk from local Maltese sheep herds and matured for two weeks.

Its edible washed rind gives way to a soft, creamy cheese with a mild, delicate flavour at first, which gradually develops into more aromatic, nutty notes as it matures.

✨ What makes Benedittin special?
• Made with local Maltese sheep's milk
• Soft, creamy texture

For those who are new here , Delectat was founded by childhood friends Mark Xerri (our lead Cheese Maker) and Professor David Mifsud, DELECTAT was born from a shared passion for food science and Maltese heritage. Together, they’ve combined 30+ years of dairy expertise with academic research to bring you artisan cheeses that are as pure as they are delicious. 🇲🇹🧀

🍯 Nature's little miracle, straight from Malta.

Not everything that belongs in your kitchen comes from a recipe.
Some things belong there because they've been treasured for generations.

Our Wild Thyme Honey is harvested from beehives nestled within the beautiful Majjistral Park in Manikata, where bees forage among Malta's native wild thyme and Mediterranean flora.

Unlike many commercial honey producers, we never replace the bees' honey with sugar syrup after harvesting. We simply collect the surplus, leaving plenty behind for the bees to thrive naturally—a practice that respects both the bees and the environment.

Rich in flavour and beautifully aromatic, it's perfect drizzled over artisan cheese, spread on warm bread, stirred into tea, or enjoyed by the spoonful.

Available in 200g and 420g jars.
