Paul, how come you know alot about cassava, who taught you?

🤔 well,

- Know all those training workshops were you just go to eat and take pictures- I take them seriously.

- I was first taught and trained by FAO who brought consultants from Nigeria and Gambia.

- Other trainings came from IITA ( eni ake chinangwa), GIZ, CAVA, MBS and others.

- As a farmer with no educational background in farming, any NGO, institution or individuals that offer the knowledge are taken seriously by me.

- Notice that cup sizes means different quantities of fertilizer applied?

- For Cup 5, you need 4 bags/ acre while for Cup 8, you will need 6.8 bags/acre of fertilizer.

* But we are Short-cut farmers, I know you my people, we don't do what the owners tell us, we have our own ways *

As you get emotional realizing that maize production is expensive, i also wanted to highlight some shortcuts we are using 😂😂...

Dear farmers, let's stop the art of focusing on the size of the land we cultivate, instead let's focus on the plant population or number of plants/crops per land area.

For example, don't say I'm planting an acre of maize, you should say I'm planting 20,000 stands of maize on an acre of land. This will help you to take every stand of the crops seriously and pay serious attention to spacing and nutrition where and when necessary.

Do have a profitable farming season ahead!
