If you like high-quality coffee you can always trust Cafe La Mancha in Colonia Guadalupe right across from Gil's store. Always freshly ground and freshly roasted specialty coffee. In times of Covid businesses need your help, so if you are not into sitting for a drink you can go and buy a bag of grains whole or ground right there and right then for you. If Natura was still open this is the coffee we would be selling no questions asked. Organic, specialty small lot, fair trade, perfectly roasted, and freshly prepared by well-trained baristas (owners).

Food is a complex subject, but it's worth taking the time to understand what's going on here, and how, maybe, as travellers, expats, and friends and neighbours of Mexico we can make a difference.
We're organizing a BIG BOOK CLUB!
"Eating NAFTA - Trade, Food Policies and the Destruction of Mexico" by Alyshia Gálvez .
On March 1, here in SMA, Jorge Catalan (Mercado SANO and Natura SMA) will be leading a discussion group to explore the issues in the book virtually with the author along with groups around Mexico and elsewhere in NA

Currently, reading groups are forming in Mexico City, Merida, San Miguel de Allende, Huatulco, Oaxaca, Toronto, Washington DC.
It's looking a little like a movement!
