Every journey has a story. So does every dish we serve in our restaurant.

One day, I received a WhatsApp message from a customer asking about our operating hours. Unfortunately, I replied a little late, but they had already placed an order through a food delivery app.

A few days later, the same customer contacted me again to ask about our Talbeena and told me they were on the way to pick up their order.

I happened to be at the restaurant that day, so we finally met in person. During our conversation, they shared that they had been reading about the health benefits of Talbeena. Although they are not Muslim, they knew that Talbeena is a Sunnah food.

They smiled and said that ever since they tasted Talbeena for the first time, they had never forgotten it.

Then they paused. I could see they were trying to hold back their emotions. Moments later, tears began to fall as they shared that they had lost their father last year, only a few months after he became ill. Even today, the grief still feels heavy because they were incredibly close.

I held their hand and gently said, "Please don't cry... or I'll end up crying with you." I asked if I could give them a hug.

In that embrace, we shared the same pain. I had also lost my own father in March 2026.

Sometimes, food is more than nourishment. It becomes a bridge between hearts, a source of comfort, a reminder of beautiful memories, and, without us realizing it, a safe place for someone to open up about the grief they've been carrying.

May God grant peace and mercy to those who have passed on, and strength to every heart that continues to miss someone they love.

It is truly sad to see our friends at Kebab El Sultan close their doors. We pray that this is not the end of their journey, but the beginning of something even better. May Allah open greater doors of rezeki for them, and we look forward to seeing them return with new and exciting ventures, insyaAllah.

The F&B industry is one of the toughest businesses to be in. It is demanding, physically exhausting, and comes with immense responsibility. We are not just serving food—we are handling something directly connected to people's health and well-being.

Behind every dish served is the hard work and dedication of many people. Every item on the menu represents hours of preparation, careful sourcing of raw ingredients, countless kilometers driven to collect supplies, and a race against time to ensure everything runs smoothly. On top of that, we must constantly train and monitor our team, maintain strict hygiene standards, and comply with all the rules and regulations set by the authorities.

Many people only see the final plate placed on the table. Very few see the sweat, sacrifices, sleepless nights, and challenges behind it.
