你学会了吗? Don’t just use non stick pan for everything 🫢. Choosing the right cookware matters more than you think.

Different cookwares are designed for different jobs.

🍳 Non-stick — Perfect for fried eggs, fish, and luncheon meat. Easy to use and great for everyday cooking.

🥩 Stainless steel — Best for searing pork and beef. Heat it properly first, and you’ll get a beautiful crust while keeping the inside juicy.

🍲 Cast iron — Ideal for braises and slow-cooked soups. It retains heat exceptionally well and only gets better with time.

The best cookware isn’t always the most expensive. It’s the one that’s right for what you’re cooking. SAVE & SHARE!

Your bowl is only as good as what’s in it.

They’re surprisingly easy to make, with no unnecessary fillers or preservatives. Just a few simple ingredients, a little mixing, and you’ll get juicy, bouncy meatballs that pairs perfectly with your soup.

If I were to put it simply, Chai Huat Hin feels like a time capsule. I know it sounds cliché. But over time, I’ve realised this place carries far more memories than I will ever know of.

You don’t have to grow up in a shop like this to know that feeling — people return to it from time to time, usually for life’s bigger moments : Chinese New Year, Betrothal, Weddings or simply preparing a meal at home. It’s that familiarity.

But funny how life works, I used to hold my grandfather’s hand walking into the shop. Today, I watch the same children who once came here return holding their own children instead.

Life changes, but somehow 再發興 has remained.

Here are some tips we’ve learnt over the years. A good Bak Zhang 肉粽 starts long before the wrapping.

The leaves, the rice, even the string — every detail changes the final texture, aroma and experience.
