We almost had a heart attack at our pop-up. 😂

A lady came to our booth and told us she had bought chicken breast from the same location before.

She couldn’t remember the brand, but she remembered one thing very clearly…

“The chicken wasn’t nice, and the sauce was terrible.” 😳

She even had to make another sauce at home to cover the taste.

And the reason she bought it?

Convenience for her son.

But her son didn’t like it either.

So now… what started as “convenience” became:

Buy chicken ➡️ make another sauce ➡️ convince son to eat it. 😂

We were quietly thinking…

“OMG… is she talking about OUR chicken?!” 😰

So we probed a little more…

And then…

PHEWWWW! 😮‍💨😂

It was ANOTHER stall!

Okay, heart rate back to normal. 🤣

We told her, “You MUST try ours!”

She bought 2 pieces to try.

A few hours later…

📱 “My son loves it!” 🥹❤️

THAT. MADE. OUR. DAY.

Because honestly, that’s what we want.

Chicken that is convenient AND delicious.

No extra sauce-making.
No hiding the taste.
No begging the kids to eat it. 😂

And yes — our marinates are made from scratch, with NO MSG, NO preservatives and NO additives.

Convenient enough for mum.
Tasty enough for the kids. ❤️

And apparently…

WE PASSED THE SON TEST. 😂🏆

August will always be a month very close to my heart. ❤️

It is World Breastfeeding Month…

and after being on my own breastfeeding journey for 12 years, this month holds a very special meaning to me.

Breastfeeding is beautiful, but it is definitely not always easy.

Behind every breastfeeding mom are countless challenges, sleepless nights, doubts, tears and moments when we wonder if we are doing enough.

That’s why I believe breastfeeding support and awareness are so important. Sometimes, all a new mom needs is a little encouragement and someone to say, “You’re doing great. Keep going.” ❤️

As a breastfeeding mom and a small business owner, sponsoring breastfeeding initiatives is one small way I can contribute to a cause that is so close to my heart.

We are truly happy to support the breastfeeding campaign organised by Hospital Seri Manjung by giving our Heat & Eat Quinoa Rice as complimentary gifts to the participants.

It may be a small contribution, but it comes with a big heart.

We see you. We support you. We celebrate you. ❤️

To every breastfeeding mom — your journey may not always be easy, but every effort matters. You are doing an amazing job. 🌷

Happy World Breastfeeding Month! 🤱🏻

Besides our signature Heat & Eat Chicken Chop and Chicken Breast, we also have our Quinoa Rice Series. 🍚

And no… this is not one of those “eat healthy and say goodbye to rice forever” posts. 😂

Because honestly, I’m Asian. I need my rice.

So instead of cutting rice out completely, I’d rather make a better choice where I can.

Our Quinoa Rice is cooked with quinoa + Harvist Premium Red Palm Oil Harvist Red Palm Oil, giving it a slightly nutty taste and a lovely texture.

And here’s why I like it:

🌾 Lower GI compared to white rice
💪 Quinoa naturally provides plant-based protein
🌱 A good source of fibre and nutrients
❤️ Red palm oil naturally contains carotenoids and vitamin E

Basically, it’s still rice.
It still makes the meal feel like a proper meal.
But with a little more goodness packed into it.

And for busy mums like me, that matters.

Because healthy eating doesn’t always have to mean making complicated salads, counting every calorie or preparing 17 different “superfoods” for one meal. 😅

Sometimes it’s just:

better rice + good protein + some vegetables.

Done. Feed the family. Move on with life. 😂❤️

Did I tell you that this rice is HEAT & EAT as well?

Healthy-ish, convenient, and nobody at home is asking, “Mummy, what are we eating AGAIN?” 😂

Comment “Rice” and we shall let you know how you can get this series.

This is what juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship actually looks like.

Sometimes, running a business doesn’t happen neatly between 9 to 5.

Sometimes, it looks like doing the GrowingUpz grocery run… with the kids in tow. 😂

I’m checking my shopping list, thinking about what we need for the business, making sure I don’t forget anything…

while also answering questions like:

“Mummy, can I have this?”

“Mummy, look!”

“Mummy, are we going home yet?” 😂

And honestly, there are days when I wish I could just focus on one thing at a time.

But that’s not always my reality.

I’m building a business, while raising my children, and sometimes the two worlds have to happen at the same time.

It’s messy.

It’s definitely not always efficient.

But I’m also grateful that my children get to see me building something.

They see the work behind the business.

They see that creating something of your own takes effort, patience and persistence.

And maybe one day, they’ll understand that they weren’t just coming grocery shopping with Mummy…

they were part of the journey too. 🧡

Mum confession: sometimes my kids have absolutely NO interest in what I cooked.

I can spend 1 hour preparing a balanced meal…

Put it on the table…

And they look at it as if the food is so digusring

Then comes the magic word:

“Mummy… can I have bread?” 😭😂

After all that effort?!

But I’ve learned not to take it personally.

Because feeding kids isn’t about making them love every meal.

Some days they eat everything.
Some days they eat two bites.
And some days… apparently bread is life. 🍞😂

If everyone eats something, nobody cries, and we make it through dinner…

I’m calling that a successful meal. 🙌

Mums, what’s the one food your kids will ALWAYS choose over the meal you just made? 👇

I need to know I’m not alone. 😂

Motherhood changed me in ways I expected… and in ways I never saw coming.

I knew I would be tired.

I knew my days would revolve around my children.

But I didn’t realise how easy it would be to slowly lose sight of who I was outside of being Mum.

The dreams.
The ambitions.
The things that made me me.

I’m still learning that being a good mum doesn’t mean I have to disappear into motherhood.

I can love my children deeply and still want more for myself.

I can be present for my family and build something of my own.

Maybe that’s not selfish.

Maybe that’s part of showing our children what it means to live a full life. 🧡

To every mum who’s trying to find herself again…

I see you.

Are you still figuring this out too?

14/08/2026

Maybe being a good mum isn’t about doing everything yourself.

Maybe it’s about knowing what matters most — and giving yourself permission to make life easier when you need to.

I still care deeply about what my children eat.

But I’ve stopped believing that every meal has to be homemade from scratch.

Frozen food isn’t the enemy.

Convenience isn’t laziness.

And taking a shortcut doesn’t make me a bad mum.

Sometimes, it simply means I’m choosing to save my energy for something else that matters. 💪💪💪

What do you think? Are mums too hard on themselves when it comes to feeding their families?

08/08/2026

Every reviews reminds me that we are not just delivering food. We are giving busy families one less things to worry about.

As a mum myself, I know that sometimes the biggest gift isn’t more time but one less decision to make.

For every family that trusted GrowingUpz, thank you.

Your messages remind me why I keep going.

We often think convenience and nutrition can’t exist together.

As a mum, I’ve learnt that convenience isn’t about being lazy.

It’s about protecting our time and our energy for the things that matter most.

For me, it’s one less decision to make after a long day.
One less moment of wondering, “What’s for dinner?”
One less thing on my mental load.

Because when a nutritious meal can be ready in 8 minutes, I get a little more time to sit with my family, hear about my children’s day, or simply breathe.

And honestly, I think every mum deserves that.

That’s the philosophy behind GrowingUpz.

What’s the biggest challenge you face when preparing dinner on busy weekdays? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. 👇

Feeding our kids doesn’t have to be perfect.

It just needs to be realistic enough for us to keep doing it.

These are my 3 rules 👇

1️⃣ Aim for balanced, not perfect.

2️⃣ Let children learn to listen to their hunger.

3️⃣ Make healthy food easy enough to sustain.

Because motherhood is already hard enough.

We don’t need to make feeding our families harder than it needs to be. 🧡
