Some more things you don't need to do anymore -
Make excuses for harmful behaviour - No matter what your history suggests you were not brought into this world to be abused. Making excuses subconsciously reinforces the idea (to yourself and the abuser) that it is ok.
Shrink to keep the peace - No ones light is bigger than anyone else. You take up as much space as you need to. Your boundaries and feelings are as valid as the next persons. If you continuously shrink yourself you stay small you stay unhappy, and you stay anxious. The main question is are you happy being a shrunken version of yourself?
Say yes when you mean no - Where does this come from? who does it serve? how does it make you feel?
Beg to be understood - Can you be ok with people misunderstanding you? it's uncomfortable but the reality is that peoples perception of you is based on their perception of themselves and the world so it will be different depending who you're speaking to. With that in mind does someone else's opinion of you actually change the core of who you are? what good does it to try and change every single persons opinion of you?
Ignore your needs - The quickest way to cultivate self-love is to pay attention to your needs, and meet them in the best way you can. Somewhere along the line, you got the message you were not worth looking after. That is an illusion. You may not feel like you are deserving but you are. Trust yourself to look after yourself (whether that's self-care, therapy, rethinking boundaries etc) and you can start to make yourself whole again.
