But to get there, we had to face the river first. 3 hours upstream, pushing through currents that didn’t want us there. This isn’t just a spice; it’s a journey that almost stopped us in our tracks.

In November 2025, we travelled deep into Borneo to visit our organic pepper farmland. The first organic pepper farm in Borneo.

Sarawak pepper is highly sensitive to climate and soil conditions, making it more difficult to cultivate than conventional varieties. Yet its aroma and flavour are unforgettable.
