He was born in 1828 and was forced to father about 249 children with different women.

A breeding slave who had more than 200 children. He was picked by his slave master because he was strong, tall, powerful, and had excellent genetic traits. But, that didn’t stop him from fighting for his freedom. Fighting for what he thought was right.

He led slave revolts, rebelled against plantation owners, and did his best to educate some of his children on how to survive. This is the story of a legendary man who has seen it all.

For 350 years, slavery was the core of Brazil’s economy. About 40% of the 10 million enslaved Africans brought to the New World were taken to Brazil. For centuries, every African who came here became as a slave.

Slaves were so crucial to the economy that they did all the work. Everything. While the white Brazilians did nothing.

This country was also the last in the Americas to abolish slavery. When the government abolished the international slave trade in the country, in 1850, the demand for black labor was still going strong. If enslaved women didn’t bear enough children to replace old and dying workers, the Brazilian economy would have collapsed. The slave society would have crumbled.

To get more slaves, enslaved Africans were forced to procreate. This slave breeding system worked as a factory. Enslaved Africans gave birth to more babies, who would be born as slaves. So, they could work on plantations or any job as free labor. Sometimes, slave breeders were used; at other times, slave owners would force women to make more slaves.

One such breeding slave was Roque José Florêncio, also known as Pata Seca.

He was born in 1828 and was forced to father about 249 children with different women.

This made him a direct ancestor to about 30% of the population of Santa Eudóxia, São Carlos.

Just imagine this...

As seen online
"This guy and his friend d!,ed in my very eyes 😢😢
I have been Traumatized 🥺
I haven't slept properly, I can't sleep without dreaming of the scenario

He came with his 3 friends to Swim, to have fun, to chill out but left in co**se, young men full of Life 😭😭

This guy doesn't know how to Swim, he was really very careful, like very very careful, extremely careful but one of his friends dragged him into the pool, this guy begged.
You could literally see the fear in his eyes, he begged and begged but this friend didn't stop 😭
He dragged him into an 8ft pool and left him to save himself.

I have seen situations like this, where Pros takes amateurs into deep parts of water just to taunt them, it's crazy 😠😠

The experiences and the struggles of these amateurs has never been funny 😒

This guy struggled and while struggling dragged another of their friends while trying to hold on to something to save himself 😭
They both Drowned 😢😢
No one could deep dive to save them

I have NEVER been this hurt for someone I don't know 😢
I'm so in pain and I can imagine the pain their families will be in now 🥺
Thinking wan finish me🤦

Please be careful of where, and what we play with 🙏
Don't do things and blame the devil 😈

Nobody deserves this kind of de@th 😭😭😭

My husband was driving me to work - last year, when I saw a familiar face, opposite the Neoplan bus stop. The traffic usually was intense in the mornings on that route; yeah, that's how I got to see him.
He used to be a former course mate, at Legon. We used to date too. We dated for Three (3) years.

He looked 'mad': so dirty, and in tatters. I recognized him immediately, and I believe he did too when he saw me. He drew nearer to my husband's car, and then, smiled at me.
My husband also saw it, and even burst into laughter. He knocked on the glass, but I wouldn't roll it down. My husband asked who he was; I was lying about his identity when he called out my name. My husband read his lips, so he heard him.

The vehicles ahead of us - started moving. We drove along slowly, but this guy wouldn't stop following us. He walked or run by my husband's car, depending on the pace. My husband even switched lanes, just to frustrate him, but he kept jogging and trailing our car, till we eventually got the opportunity to speed off.

I don't know what could have led to his present state of mental illness, but I know he never returned to school - the following semester, after our breakup.

I couldn't tell my husband about him. The thing is, I accidentally met him again, in traffic, last year, September, 15, and I stopped by his side, to talk. He could carry on a meaningful conversation. He was speaking impeccable English. I bought him yoghurt, water and food, and paid a Waakye seller, to feed him lunch and dinner, that day. I asked him to wait for me the following day, at the same place/time, and he did.

I brought him some of my husband's used clothes, and also, cooked for him. I found out where he laid his head at night, and got food vendors, to feed him every afternoon and evening, for Four (4) months. I paid for all that.

I found out from friends who remembered him, that he stopped schooling, and kind of, checked out because he couldn't deal with our breakup. I left him for
