"Ajogo: The Boy Who Paid the Price for Truth"
They used to say in Oju village, “Hard work brings blessings." But for Ajogo, all it ever brought was sweat and sorrow. He was the third son of a poor farmer, raised on boiled yam and river water, with dreams bigger than his reality could ever hold.
At 19, he left the red dust of Oju behind, packed a nylon bag, and boarded a rickety bus to the city. Lagos — the place where dreams either came alive or got swallowed whole.
For months, Ajogo hustled like a man possessed. He sold pure water in traffic, carried loads at the market, even tried to learn barbing. But no matter how hard he worked, money never stayed in his pocket. Nights were spent under bridges. Days were filled with rejection.
Then he met Big Dre.
Big Dre drove a black SUV, wore chains like a rapper, and had the kind of money that made people forget to ask questions. He took interest in Ajogo. Fed him. Dressed him. Gave him hope. Then, one night, he said:
"There’s a way out, but not everyone has the heart for it."
Ajogo didn’t hesitate. He was tired of being poor. Tired of begging. So he
