This is really getting out of hand 😔 😟
As they neared a clearing, Osamuyi saw a flicker of movement—a figure stepping out from behind the trees. His heart skipped a beat. A hunter. The man was tall, with wild eyes and a spear slung across his back. His presence felt like the very embodiment of the forest itself—untamed and dangerous.
Osamuyi didn’t know how the man appeared so suddenly, but he didn’t question it. The hunter’s eyes met his, and in that moment, everything else seemed to stop.
The kidnappers, unaware of the hunter’s presence, continued to march forward. But as they reached the clearing, the hunter sprang into action, his movements fluid and fast. Before the captors could react, the hunter struck—his spear flashing through the air with deadly precision. One man fell, then another, and another.
Chaos erupted. The captors shouted in alarm, but the hunter was relentless. He moved like a storm, fast and efficient, taking down anyone who dared to approach.
In the confusion, Osamuyi saw his chance. His hands were still bound, but he had enough movement to free one arm. He je**ed it free, then used the arm to tear through the ropes around his ankles. It was slow, painful work, but the adrenaline coursing through him kept him focused.
Musa, still dazed from the crash, struggled beside him. "What... what’s happening?" he whispered.
"We need to move," Osamuyi said through gritted teeth, helping the young driver to his feet.
The hunter was still fighting, but he wasn’t going to last forever. Osamuyi knew they had to make it out of the clearing. With his last bit of strength, he pushed Musa forward, urging him to run. The sound of footfalls pounding through the forest behind them told Osamuyi that they weren’t alone.
Watch out for the next part...........
