Gombe State Task Force on closure of Gala house's and Joints Has Continue Meeting With the Stakeholders.

Gombe State Task Force on closure of Gala house's and Joints has Convened a stakeholders meeting with shop owners and liquor sellers in Gombe.

The Meeting which took place at Maidugu Hotel Gombe was informed by the need to create more awareness on how to register and operate such businesses.

In his welcome, The Chairman of the task force Group Captain Peter Bilal Rtd. expressed appreciation for the large turn out of stakeholders.

He Charged them to ensure that they have formally registered their businesses by obtaining all necessary documents and certificates in accordance with the law.

In their separate contributions the SSA on Security Matters And Intergovernmental Affairs to the Governor Yusuf Musa Dan-Bayo and representatives of Gombe State Urban planning and Development Authority (GOSUPDA) Bulus Ike advised those in liguor related businesses and Shop owners to ensure getting building approval before Starting the project to avoid confrontation with the law.

In their Contribution Religion leaders Malam Rabi,u haruna Representatives of Da'awa Group and Representatives of Youth CAN Den Yusuf Jb Haske advised the Shop owners and liquor sellers this type of business Constitutional is allowed in Religion aspect is not allowed. the also commended the State Government for Coming up with a decision to sanitize the entertainment.

*Task Force on Gala Houses and Joints Visits Emir of Kaltungo Palace*

Gombe State Task Force on closure of Gala houses and Liquor Joints has visited His Royal Highness the Mai Kaltungo Engineer Sale Muhammad Umar at his palace at Kaltungo in Kaltungo Local Government Area.

During the visit the Chairman of the Task Force Group Captain Peter Bilal Rtd. who was represented by the Secretary to the Task Force Malam Isa said they were at the palace to intimate him about the activities of the Task force and further create awareness among stakeholders.

Muhammad Isa Usman said so far, the Task Force has visited the Emir of Gombe and now in Kaltungo in continuation of their assignment to assess shop owners and joints involved in the sale of liquor in the area to ascertain compliance with the law and other legal requirements outlined by the State Government.

In his response His Royal Highness the Mai Kaltungo Engineer Sale Muhammadu Umar OON thanked His Excellency the State Governor Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya for constituting such a committee which he described as timely.

Engineer Sale Muhammadu decried the indiscriminate opening of hotels liquor joints in our communities which said was responsible for the rampant cases of crimes and substance abuse and teenage prostitution among youth in the society.

He pledged to support the committee in its task of ensuring proper upbringing of youth and advised those in the business to comply with guidelines and laws provided by the law.

Gombe State Task Force on closure of Gala house's and Joints Holds Stakeholders Meeting.

Gombe State Task Force on closure of Gala house's and Joints has Convened a stakeholders meeting with shop owners and liquor sellers in Gombe.

The Meeting which took place at Almasz hotel Gombe was informed by the need to create more awareness on how to register and operate such businesses without any hindrance.

In his address of welcome, the Chairman of the task force Group Captain Peter Bilal Rtd. expressed appreciation for the large turn out of stakeholders which he said is an indication their commitment to work together towards addressing emerging challenges.

Said the intention of Government is not to witch-hunt any body but to anitize their businesses.

He Charged them to ensure that they have formally registered their businesses by obtaining all neccerery documents and certificates in accordance with the law.

In their separate contributions the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security and interGovernmental Affairs Yusuf Musa Dan-Bayo and representatives of Gombe State Urban planning and Development Authority (GOSUPDA) advised those in liguor related businesses to comply with government guidelines and regulations in their operations and businesses to avoid confrontation with the law.

In their vote of thanks, one of the stakeholders commended the State Government for Coming up with a decision to sanitize the entertainment sector and pledge to support the task force in their mission.
