*Where are your classmates❓*

A 60 year old gentleman was suffering from deep depression and his wife booked an appointment with a counselor.

The wife said...
_*"He is in severe depression, please see to it.."*_

The Counselor began his counseling by asking some personal things while the gentleman's wife sat outside.

The gentleman spoke, and it went this way;

_*“I am too much worried. Infact, I am overwhelmed by worries - family issues, job pressure, friends, children's education, and job tension, mortgage loan, car loan, etc. I have lost interest in everything that I use to like. The world thinks of me as a cannon, they think I have everything, but I don't have as much stuff as even cartridge. I am very depressed..”*_

Then the learned Counselor asked him, _*"which secondary school did you attend."*_

The gentleman told him the name of the school.

The counselor said,
I want to advise that you go to that school.

When you get to the school, locate your *'Class register’* if it is still there, look up the names of your peers and try to get information about their current well being.

Write down all the information you get about them and meet me after a month..❗

The gentleman went to his former school, found the register, and copied every name in it.

There were 120 names in all. He tried day and night throughout one month, but was barely able to collect information on about 75-80 of his classmates.

*Surprise results ..❗*

▪️20 of them were dead.

▪️7 were widows/widowers,

▪️13 were divorced.

▪️10 turned out to be drug addicts.

▪️5 came out so poor that nobody could even connect with them.

▪️6 turned out to be so rich that he couldn't believe it.

▪️Some were cancerous,
▪️some were paralyzed,
▪️some were diabetic,
▪️some asthmatic,
▪️some heart disease patients.

▪️A couple of them were in bed with injuries to the arm/leg or spinal cord.

▪️The children of some had turned out to be insane, vagabonds, etc.
One was in jail.
One person after two divorces was seeking for a third marriage.

The counselor asked:-

_*"Now tell me how is your depression❓"*_

The gentleman understood that
▪️he had no disease,
▪️he was not starving,
▪️his mind was perfect,
▪️he was not unlucky.
▪️He was lucky that his wife and children were very good and healthy.
▪️He was also healthy, he could afford three meals daily.
▪️His challenges paled in significance to that of others.

That gentleman realized that, there's really a lot of sorrow in the world, and that he was very happy and lucky.

*Leave the habit of peeping into other people’s plates* (peoples fortune or misfortune), *take the food on your plate with love.*

Don't compare your life with others.

Everyone is moving according to his or her destiny, you are neither late nor early.

Give thanks to God!

FAMILY, PLACE OF FORGIVENESS ...

©️ There is no perfect family.

©️ We do not have perfect parents,
- you are not perfect yourself.
We do not marry a perfect person or we do not have perfect children.

©️ We have complaints from each other. We can not live together without offending one another.

©️ We are constantly disappointed. Yes for so many reasons at different times we are disappointed by one another.

©️ There is no healthy marriage or healthy family without the exercise of forgiveness. Forgiveness is the medicine of family joy and happiness.

©️ Forgiveness is vital to our emotional health and spiritual survival. No matter the offence or who is the offender. Without forgiveness, the family becomes an arena of conflict and a fortress of evil.

©️ Without forgiveness, the family becomes sick and unhealthy.

©️ Forgiveness is the asepsis of the soul, the purification of the spirit and the liberation of the heart. No sin is too big to be forgiven.
He who does not forgive does not have peace in his soul and can not have communion with God.

©️ Unforgiving is Evil and a poison that intoxicates and kills the one who refuses to forgive.

©️ Keeping heartache of unforgiving in your heart is a self-destructive gesture. It's autophagy.

©️ Those who do not forgive are physically, emotionally and spiritually ill. And they will suffer in two ways.

SIX GODLY DRESSING TIPS

The way we dress matters a lot. It is often said that you will be addressed the way you dress. Pastor Faith Oyedepo has outlined six dressing tips for Christians.

What we wear interests God as He wants to be involved in all that we do. As Christians, we are expected to represent Christ on earth. Everything that we do should Christ like; including our dressing.

In the Bible, God was said to have been clothed in splendor, glory, and majesty. Hence, God is a definition of royalty. This is more reason God is a reflection of royalty; we are just like God.

Clothes were first designed for Adam and Eve by God. When they realized their nakedness, they decided to make something to cover their nakedness but it was not durable. God had to make a durable one that covered them properly. The cloth was said to be loosely made and it reached their knees. The upper part of the body was also well covered and the designs varied.

6 TIPS

1. ‘'Choose what fits you properly over what may or may not be in vogue.''
There are many persons that love to dress to please the world. This is a wrong notion that should be abolished. This is because, what is in vogue may not be in line with Gods choice for us.

2. "Choose what you feel comfortable in."
Comfort is a point to note when dressing as a Christian. Wear what you are comfortable in, and not necessarily what others desire for you to wear.

3. "Don't dress on the basis of crave for a sense of belonging.
Also, do not dress to crave for a sense of showmanship’’. There are people who dress as a way to show off. As a Christian, it is important that you dress right without having the thoughts of the world in your heart.

4. 'Wear what covers the sensitive parts of your body.'
There are some persons whose aim for dressing is to reveal sensitive parts of their body. Their aim is for the opposite s*x to lust after them. It is very wrong to expose your body as a Christian. Seek ways to please God even with your dressing.

5. 'Wear things that you can afford.'
As a Christian, it is advisable to wear things you can afford. Many persons go beyond their budget just to please the world. That is a wrong notion. If the clothes you desire to buy are too expensive for your budget, ensure that you go for the one that is affordable for you.

6. 'Wear what pleases God, first and foremost.'
This is the most important tip about Christian dressing. Dressing to please God should be your utmost priority. As an ambassador of Christ, you have to represent him in all totality.
