God has proven Himself mighty again!
Look at what my 11-month-old baby swallowed 😭😭😭😭 I’m still in shock!
Yesterday afternoon, I was craving bread. I went to the fridge to get the half loaf left from the day before, and I saw the remaining Fanta I had also left there. I took both and sat down to eat. I cut a small piece of bread for my baby while I ate.
Then I heard a knock on the door. I quickly went to attend to the person, and when I came back, I saw my baby trying to vomit. I thought maybe she had swallowed a big piece of the bread I gave her. Immediately, I gave her water to help make it easier for her to swallow. Little did I know it wasn’t bread!
She couldn’t even drink the water. I panicked and put my finger in her throat to help her vomit, but what I felt wasn’t bread. Immediately, my whole body started shaking. I can’t even explain how I felt that moment. The more I tried to bring it out, the deeper it seemed to go. I could see my baby struggling to breathe.
What came to my mind was to rush her to the hospital, but another voice kept saying, “What if she dies before you get there?” All I could say was, “Jesus help me! God, come through for me! Don’t let my enemies laugh at me!”
I tried one last time, and to the glory of God, the bottle cover came out! Yes, it was the cover of the Fanta bottle, not bread! The devil tried again, but he failed! I can’t stop thanking God for this miracle.
I have always been extra careful with my baby. I make sure to keep things I know she can swallow far from her reach because everything she picks goes straight into her mouth. Before I drop her anywhere, I always ensure the environment is safe for her. But yesterday shook me to my core.
I couldn’t even post this yesterday because I was still traumatized.
Please help me thank this mighty God for me! My gratitude alone is not enough for what He has done for me. God is faithful!
