The Ethiopians went to wąr with dangerous animals and insects such as bees, wasps, lions, elephants or cheetahs trained to capture the soldiers of the enemy camp, which enabled them to win all the wars of colonization against them and to be the only country in the world to have never been colonized. At the battle of Adowa Ethiopian warriors skilled in sword fightıng called Shotel destroyed the invading Italian 🇮🇹 soldiers in hand to hand combat.

In 390 AD, monks from the Kingdom of Aksum (Axum) begun translating the Biblical scripts into Ge'ez - which is Ethiopia's ancient language that is still in use today. This Bible was written on goatskin and would come to be the oldest and most complete in the world, as it preserved several documents that were lost to the west.

For perspective, the Ethiopian Bible is over a thousand years older than the King James Version.

*NIMC DG/CEO ENGAGES THE HONOURABLE MINISTER OF COMMUNICATIONS, INNOVATION AND DIGITAL ECONOMY ON BROADENING NIN ENROLMENT IN LGAs*

The DG/CEO, NIMC, Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote, paid a working visit to the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, as part of the concerted efforts to broaden the scope of Identity Management.

The visit was also to foster the deployment of broadband technology in all the 774 Local Government Areas to drive uninterrupted National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment across all the nooks and crannies of the country.

Engr Coker-Odusote thanked the Honourable Minister for working with NIMC to increase access to digital government services nationwide.

She promised not to rest on her oars to enrol and issue the NIN to all Nigerians and legal residents.
