Our best player, congratulations to all of them.

Multi-Talented Esther Okoronkwo, who plays for AFC Toronto in the Northern Canadian Super League, is going to have many offers in the transfer market.

She is incredibly talented.

What a player!

Many people were unaware of her full potential.

In 2024, she was playing for Changchun Dazhong Zhiye in China, but left because her chances of making the Super Falcons WAFCON Squad were slim due to the league she played in and the competition from other Super Falcons players who play in top European leagues or teams.

In February 2025, she joined AFC Toronto in the Northern Canadian Super League to increase her chances of making the WAFCON squad.

When she made the squad, many who hadn't seen her play questioned her selection, but those familiar with her performances at AFC Toronto knew her talent.

Her first match revealed her true abilities.

She scored and provided the most assists in the tournament.

I'm glad WAFCON has brought her talent to light.

She is my choice for Player of the Tournament.

She's sure to get a transfer to a bigger team soon, with many clubs likely contacting her agent right now.

Nigeria produced a sensational second-half comeback to beat hosts Morocco 3-2 and seal a record-extending 10th Women's Africa Cup of Nations title.

The Atlas Lionesses led 2-0 at the break in Rabat through Ghizlane Chebbak's fine curling effort and a scuffed shot from Sanaa Mssoudy.

But Esther Okoronkwo inspired the West Africans after the break, pulling a goal back from the penalty spot in the 64th minute after Nouhaila Benzina handled Folamide Ijamilusi's cross.

Okoronko burst into the Morocco box and squared for Ijamilusi to equalise in the 71st minute, then teed up substitute Jennifer Echegini to score the winner with two minutes of the game remaining.

The 21,000-capacity Olympic Stadium was stunned into silence as the Super Falcons players coll∆psed to the turf in celebrations at the final whistle after producing a seemingly unlikely revival that will live long in the memory.

The Super Falcons pick up $1m in prize money - which has been doubled since the last edition - and become the first side to lift the new-look Wafcon trophy.
