ACCEPTANCE SPEECH FROM THE PRESIDENT-ELECT, AME WO BA EGGON
Fellow members of Ame Wo Ba Eggon (AWBE),
I write this speech today, humbled and honoured to accept the mandate you've bestowed upon me as your newly elected President. This moment is a testament to our collective efforts, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the progress of AWBE and the Eggon nation.
I extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who participated in this electoral process. Your trust and confidence in my leadership are a tremendous responsibility, and I pledge to work tirelessly for the betterment of AWBE and the Eggon nation.
To the Electoral Committee (ELCOM), I express my sincere appreciation for conducting a transparent, free, and fair election. Your committed efforts have demonstrated the values of autonomy, transparency, integrity, credibility, impartiality, dedication, equity, excellence, and teamwork. Your hard work has ensured the legitimacy and stability of our electoral process, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
To my fellow contestants, I salute your courage and dedication. Your passion for AWBE and the Eggon nation is what drives us forward. Let us join hands together and work for the betterment of AWBE.
To my team, your relentless efforts have been invaluable. Together, we'll continue to push boundaries, innovate, and exceed expectations.
As we move forward, I assure you that my administration will prioritize transparency, accountability, and inclusivity for the benefit of Eggon nation. We'll work collaboratively to address our pressing challenges and harness opportunities for growth.
Building on the foundations laid by past leaders and leveraging the expertise of current leadership, we will forge a united front to propel AWBE forward. We will draw from the wisdom of our elders, the energy of our youth, and the diversity of our membership to ensure AWBE lives up to its vision of uniting the entire Eggon people. By bridging gaps and fostering collaboration, we'll create a stronger, more resilient AWBE that benefits all members.
I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Board of Trustees (BOT), under the visionary leadership of Mr. Mark Abashi, for their unwavering support and guidance. Your selfless commitment to ensuring peace and unity in AWBE has been instrumental in our progress. Your wisdom, experience, and dedication have been a beacon of hope, and we are grateful for your continued leadership.
I want to extend my appreciation to the leadership of Eggon Cultural Development Association (ECDA), led by Chief David Abluya, for leading a delegation of the leadership, including the Women Wing leadership lead by Mrs Rose Aminu Attah, to observe and ensure a free and fair election process. This is indeed a demonstration of exemplary leadership.
Let this moment serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration. Our collective dreams that bond us together as AWBE are valid, and our hard work will pay off.
Thank you for this incredible honour. May we continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.
