I almost gave up on this foodstuff business.
One week, I stocked up on goods with the little capital I had. I was excited, thinking customers would rush in like I imagined. But days passed… and nothing much happened. My phone was silent. No orders. No messages. Just silence.
I remember sitting with my bags of foodstuffs, wondering if I made a mistake choosing this path. The transportation costs were rising, customers were pricing everything, and sometimes people would promise to buy but never return.
One particular day, a customer complained that another vendor was selling cheaper than me. That comment really touched me. I went home that day feeling discouraged, asking myself if this business was even worth it.
But something inside me refused to quit.
Instead of giving up, I decided to do things differently. I started learning more about my customers, posting more consistently, explaining the quality of what I sell, and treating every single customer like they mattered.Slowly… things started changing.
One customer became two. Two became five. Then referrals started coming in. People began to trust my brand and appreciate the quality I provide.
That experience taught me something powerful:
In the foodstuff business, success doesn’t come from selling alone — it comes from patience, consistency, and building trust.
Every struggle in business is actually preparing you for the breakthrough you prayed for.
If you’re a vendor and things are slow right now, don’t give up. Your consistency today might be the reason your business grows tomorrow.
If you run a business, what was the moment that almost made you give up — and what kept you going?
