🧠💭 Out of nowhere, my brain just rebooted to childhood mode! 😂

Childhood Flashback Alert!

All of a sudden, this nursery rhyme started playing on repeat in my head:

🎶
“Two little black birds sitting on the wall,
One named Peter, one named Paul,
Fly away Peter, fly away Paul…
Oh come back, two black birds,
And sit on the wall!” 🐦🐦
🎶

But as pure Igbo kids we were then, you’d hear some of us shouting —
“Nwannem Peter! Nwannem Paul!” 🤣🤣

Back then, we were commanding birds like army generals —
“Fly away! Come back!” 😭😂

No stress, no bills… just pure childhood power and vibes!

Eziokwu eeh, uwa umuaka amaka. ❤️

Who else remembers singing this back in nursery or primary school?

Never measure another man’s reality with your own ruler of experience or standards.

💭 Read this slowly… it might save your dignity someday.

Never Compromise Your Values — It’s Never Worth It

Some time ago, a brother told me something I’ll never forget.
He said,

“In whatever you do, never compromise your values or self-worth for anything not worth it. Even if it looks like your only hope — don’t accept what will steal your peace or disrespect who you are.”

Then he shared his story…
A very rich and powerful man once offered him a contract that would make him a billionaire — on one condition: he must bring his wife for the man to sleep with.

He said “No” and walked away.

He told us, “If I had accepted, I’d have become his slave forever. My wife would lose all respect for me, and my voice as a man would die.”

He reminded us that no matter how rich or respected someone is, there are things we must never do — because once you lose your self-respect, you’ve lost everything.

He ended by saying,

“Real men stay calm, talk less, and know when to act — that’s where true strength lies.”

So I’m urging you too:
Never sell your birthright for a one-day enjoyment or ‘stomach infrastructure.’
Guard your peace.
Keep your dignity.

Because once you lose respect, money can’t buy it back. ✊🏽

In the name of light, truth, and peace,
I call upon my good spirits, my guiding forces, and my loving ancestors—
Those who walked before me in strength, love, and wisdom.

If you are with me in truth,
If your heart is for my upliftment and protection,
I ask you to come close now.

Guide me. Speak to my heart.
Open my paths and bless my steps.
Remove every confusion and show me the right way.

May your wisdom cover me,
Your protection surround me,
And your love uplift me.

I honor you. I thank you.
I walk in the strength of your name and legacy.

Amen.

"Aka Kwụlụ Ọtọ"
One of Life’s Greatest Lessons from My Grandmother

One of the timeless lessons my late grandmother taught me was “Aka kwụlụ ọtọ.”
She often repeated it whenever I was with her or came visiting.

In her words, she would say:
“ive ọ bụna ị na-eme, kwụva aka gị ọtọ. Ọ bụrụ na onye sị gị ka e mee ive ọzọ, si ya kpaa/mba.”
(Meaning: In whatever you're doing, keep your hands clean. If anyone asks you to do otherwise, say no.)

Those words sank deep into my heart and have remained one of the greatest legacies she left for us.

So, my advice to anyone reading this is simple:
Kwụva aka gị ọtọ ka ndụ gị wee too ogologo.
(Keep your hands clean so that your life will be long and meaningful.)

🎵 You’ve Got to Get Up and Make a Move 🎵*

No one else can live your dream.
No one else can walk your path.
You’ve got to rise — even when it’s hard, even when you’re tired, even when the world feels heavy.

Every step you take toward your dream matters.
Even the small ones.
Especially the small ones.

So today, shake off the doubt.
Block out the noise.
And remind yourself: “I’ve got this.”

📌 Just like the lyrics say:
“You’ve got to get up and make a move, ‘cause the world won’t wait for you.”
