WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A WIFE?

Before we get married, many times the kind of advice we receive from our mothers are usually, "as you are getting married, obey your husband o. Don't fight him, don't shout at him etc".

However there are several other important qualities we really do not know of.

I have set down a few here. This is not exhaustive though.

Patience: Kai! You need loads and loads of it!

Sacrifice: marriage will either cure you of selfishness or spit you out. Your dreams may sometimes be paused. You may have to give up so much.

Compromise: I no gree, I no gree nahim dey scatter marriage o. You will negotiate so many things if you want peace.

Humility & teachability: you must humble yourself to learn and to throw away some self sabotaging mindsets. Some wokeness has to go. Social Media marriage may not be your reality.

Resourcefulness: how do you think we are surviving in this economy? How do we stretch the soup to get to month end?*😜

Courage: marriage is not for the faint hearted at all. Like God said to Joshua, be strong and courageous for I will go with you. It is the same word that keeps you in marriage.

Resilience: you must have staying power. The ability to keep bouncing back in the face of adversity. You do not run at the first sign of trouble.

I hope this helps you as you consider accepting that man's proposal.

5 Importance of Romance.

I am an incurable romantic. I believe that it is possible to have a passionate marriage no matter how long you've been married and I work towards ensuring that passion never dies in my marriage.
I don't mind being an initiator Everytime.

Romance is vital to any marriage that must be great. Romance however means different things to different people.

Romance can be simple, small actions of affection and love; it doesn’t always have to be with fanfare. Anything you do that brings you closer to your spouse and which expresses love and respect to them can be classified as romance.

Discussions on the children, running of the house, family etc are off the table.

• Deliver: Deliver quality service to each other. Treat your spouse as your most prized customer and look for ways to wow them.
