Looking for a Father's Day gift with a difference? Try our Father's Day Cheese Box! A carefully curated selection of delicious NZ Cheeses, along with gourmet crackers, marinaded olives & tasting/pairing notes.

Order in an advance or at our pop-up shop at Madeira Hotel on Saturday 5th Sept. You can either collect from us on Saturday or, if you prefer, we will deliver it personally on Father's Day for free! (to Little River, Akaroa & Outer Bays only).

What a beautiful day in Akaroa! If you're around, come down and say hi at Madeira Hotel, try (and maybe buy) some beautiful cheese then hang about in the sunny beer garden for a drink or some delicious food (honestly, their menu is 🤤🔥)

Whether you need to top up your supplies or you need an easy cheese board for a party or dinner, we've got you covered!

Akaroa French Festival is back this October and I am super excited about it! If you are in and around Akaroa 9th-11th October and want to lend a hand, please get in touch with the wonderful team!

If you aren't able to help but still interested, ticket sales are up tomorrow through the website (www.akaroafrenchfest.co.nz) - its $20 for 3 days of festival access. And there are still a couple of Cabaret tickets I think but selling fast!

🇫🇷 CALL FOR FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS! 🇫🇷

French Festival fever will take-over Akaroa from 9-11 October this year, but we need your help to make it happen.

Volunteers are required for all sorts of jobs; from working the bar, to helping the design team decorate tents, tables and streets, ticket sales at the gate, selling merchandise, managing the info desk, ushering guests at Le Cabaret and Le Cirque, clearing tables, directing traffic or any numbers of other roles.

Good news everyone! We are coming out of hibernation this Sunday afternoon to have a wee pop up at the wonderful Little River Inn!

We will have a good stock of all your favourites, and everything you need to make some yummy winter treats - from raclettes & fondues to toasties & cheese rolls, as well as a damn good classic cheese board 🧀🧡🔥

And what could be better on a chilly wintery afternoon than a trip to the Inn for a drink and a feed and to buy some cheese! 😉 see you there!

Has anyone else seen the Cheese Bar at Liquorland Carlton?!

A delicious selection of NZ and European cheeses, as well as charcuterie and wine pairing suggestions! I spotted Epoisses and Crottin de Chavignol in their chiller, 2 of my absolute faves from France 😍❤️

Frosty but beautiful morning on the Peninsula! If youre heading through Little River today, or looking for a family (and dog) friendly day out, why not drop into Little River Farmers Market (9.30am - 2pm) and check out all the awesome stalls, grab a coffee and some yummy food and enjoy the day!

Oh and of course, stock up on cheese 😉🧀💛☀️

Very excited to be popping up in Akaroa (Madeira Hotel) & Little River (Little River Farmers Market) this weekend!

We're all stocked up with delicious cheeses from Viavio Cheese, Evansdale Cheese Ltd, Little River Estate, Thorvald, valhal_nz, Cilantro Cheese Ltd., Craggy Range Sheep Dairy and Whitestone Cheese Co., so if you've been missing your favourites (or you want to find something new) come down and say hi and sample what we have on offer!

We are back! This Matariki weekend - find us in Akaroa on Saturday (Madeira Hotel) and in Little River on Sunday (Little River Farmers Market). Restocked with all your absolute faves (and ours!) but if you have any special requests, send me a message and I'll do my best to get hold of them.

As always, we can take orders and deliver to anywhere on the Peninsula (a small fuel fee will be added for long journeys!)

Wow what an incredible evening we had at the end of May hosting a fondue evening with the wonderful folks from The Akaroa Cooking School 🥰🧀💛

Lou and Ant produced delicious canapés with some my absolute favourite cheeses (Smoked Tania from Evansdale Cheese Ltd, Gorgonzola from Viavio Cheese and Parmesan & Aged Cheddar from Gibbston Valley Cheese), enjoyed by the guests with some bubbles to kick off the evening.

Then I demonstrated the techniques and recipe I use to create a month watering fondue (Fontal from Viavio Cheese and Raclette from Thorvald), which was then served with all the accompaniments you could imagine, in traditional (and retro!) fondue pots (provided very generously by The Common and other Akaroa residents).

To top it all off, Lou & Ant delighted with a scrumptious cheesecake (of course!). All in all, it was a beautiful celebration of NZ cheese and I thank Brigid for her lovely write up for the Akaroa Mail.

Thanks to all who came along and made it a great night, and thank you to all the cheesemakers who do all the hard work so that we can enjoy them! Blessed are the Cheesemakers!
