, the finest Ōtautahi grim-hop, the latest sonic expression of barely suppressed rage from seasoned Aotearoa heavy music veterans “Slim” Jenkins and Mo Galloway of TAINTED infamy.
An entirely new direction for these journeymen, SLIMIVICH doesn’t explode like previous metal releases, instead it radiates and crackles with all the allure of overloaded high voltage circuits, glowing and arcing in the dark. From the chilling omen of haunted whispers, to the relentless punishment of pounding drums, searing synth and grueling bass, SLIMIVICH seeks to explore the varying textures of what should be considered “heavy” music.
Refreshed from a short refit after the 2023 nationwide ‘Grind’ single release tour, the boys are breaking 2024 by visiting the upper half of the country again on a Tamaki Makaurau Auckland tiny tour. Look out for the outfit as they Dead Witch on Friday Feb 16th and creative extravaganza ‘Clash of the Arts 2024’ at Zeal West on Saturday Feb 17th.

Call it alternative or experimental, call it industrial, call it GRIM-HOP, fans new and old will not fail to be impressed by this reinterpretation of the same venom spitting Slim they came to know and love, or hate.
