🔥 ASIAN-STYLE CHICKEN NIBBLES – WITH OUR MATE THE TRADIE BBQ! 🔥

We’re back with the next recipe in the Tradie BBQ's series for the Mad Butcher… and this one’s a sticky, saucy crowd-pleaser

Even better? Chicken Nibbles are on special this week for an insane $8.99 per kg! That’s a crazy price, and the perfect excuse to fire up the barbie this week!

Pat them dry, season, cook low and slow, then toss in a rich, sticky Asian glaze. Finish with sesame seeds and spring onions and you’ve got full-off-the-bone, finger-licking goodness 🤤

🍗 Sticky Asian Chicken Nibbles

Ingredients

Chicken Nibbles:

1.5 kg Nibbles

2 Tbsp Cornstarch

Salt & Pepper

2 Spring Onions, Chopped (Garnish)

1–2 tsp Toasted Sesame (Garnish)

Sticky Asian Sauce:

1 tsp Oil

Salt & Pepper

1 tsp Crushed Ginger

1 tsp Crushed Garlic

1 tsp Lemongrass Paste

2 Tbsp Hot Honey

5 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce

Method: Preheat the BBQ to 180°C with the lid closed. (If using a smoker, you’re welcome to pop chunks of smoking wood onto the hot spots of the coals.)
Pat the chicken nibbles dry with paper towels, then season generously with salt and pepper and coat with cornstarch.

Place the chicken onto the preheated BBQ, close the lid and leave to cook for 30–40 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through. You want to reach an internal temp of 88°C for full off-the-bone nibbles.

While the chicken cooks, add all sauce ingredients to a saucepan, stir to combine, then bring to a gentle simmer. Cook until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Place the hot chicken in a large bowl and drizzle over the sticky sauce. Toss until evenly coated, then garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
